Special Issue on Nucleic Acids Chemistry and Biotechnology

Nucleic acid is a macromolecule compound synthesized from nucleotides. It is the carrier of all biological genetic information, including DNA and RNA. Nucleic acid is not only the basic genetic material, but also figure importantly in the biosynthesis of proteins. It plays a decisive role in a series of important life phenomena such as growth, heredity and variation. Nucleic acid has been widely used in practice. Nearly 2000 genetic diseases have been found to be related to DNA structure. For example, the application of genetic engineering methods has enabled Escherichia coli to produce valuable biochemical drugs such as insulin and interferon.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring nucleic acids chemistry and biotechnology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Structure and function of nucleic acids
    • Preparation of nucleic acids
    • Nucleic acids sequence analysis
    • Physicochemical properties of nucleic acids
    • DNA replication, repair and transcription
    • RNA translation
    • Gene regulation
    • Nucleic acid gel electrophoresis
    • DNA recombination technology
    • Nucleic acid molecular hybridization technology
    • Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Nucleic Acids Chemistry and Biotechnology” should be chosen during your submission.

    According to the following timetable:
