    Special Issue on Stress and Health


    In a medical or biological context, stress is a physical, mental, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension. Stresses can be external (from the environment, psychological, or social situations) or internal (illness, or from a medical procedure). Stress can initiate the "fight or flight" response, a complex reaction of neurologic and endocrinologic systems


    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Stress and Health. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Posttraumatic stress disorder
    • Stress-related disorders
    • Stress, influences and clinical performance
    • Biological perspective and studies
    • Stress, anxiety and behaviors
    • Stress and depression
    • Chronic stress
    • Therapy and treatment
    • Environmental and psychosocial factors
    • Adaptation and coping strategy
    • Risk factors

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


    Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Stress and Health should be chosen during your submission.
