    Special Issue on Linguistic Ecology Research


    Linguistic ecology is research on the interrelationship between language and the natural environment in these fields of ethnolinguistics, human linguistics and social linguistics. The most remarkable feature of language ecosystem is the diversity of language. Language ecology focuses more on the interraction between language change and ecological environment. The goal of this Special Issue is to provide a platform for scientists worldwide to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of linguistic ecology research.


    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring linguistic ecology research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Linguistic ecological monitoring and assessment
    • Endangered language
    • Language integrity and diversity
    • Language ecology protection
    • Ecolinguistics
    • Language variation
    • Linguistic ecology in the era of big data

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
