Special Issue on Hydrological Forecasting and Hydrological Model

The methods of hydrological forecasting can be divided into two categories: empirical correlation and model. According to the characteristics of water regime and forecast content, it can be divided into the following aspects: flood forecast, low water forecast, ice regime forecast. Watershed hydrological model is a mathematical model, which can be divided into three categories: system theory model, conceptual model and physical model. Hydrological forecasting is the prior estimation of the future of hydrological phenomena, and the watershed hydrological model is an important theoretical basis to simulate the hydrological process of the basin and to understand the hydrological laws of the basin. It is of great significance to study the hydrological process of flood control, drought resistance, rational use of water resources and national defense.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring hydrological forecasting and hydrological model. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Isotope hydrology
    • Flood forecast
    • Water quality prediction
    • Mid and long term hydrological forecasting
    • Hydrological forecasting system
    • Watershed hydrological model
    • Distributed hydrological model
    • Hydrological model assessment
    • Application of hydrological forecasting

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Hydrological Forecasting and Hydrological Model” should be chosen during your submission.

    According to the following timetable:
