    Special Issue on Surgical Oncology

As a medical field, Surgery has been changing rapidly since the late 1800s, in large part thanks to the development of safe and effective anesthesia. Surgical oncology is a subspeciality of surgery that deals with the surgical treatment of various cancers. It focuses on the surgical management of tumors, especially cancerous tumors. Surgery is still the oldest and most important method for the treatment of tumors. It has become the first choice for most (75%-80%) cancer patients to get a cure. With the deepening of people's understanding of malignant tumors and the increasing and maturing of cancer treatment methods, the views and methods of cancer surgical treatment are constantly updated, developed and improved.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring surgical oncology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Breast cancer surgery
    • Lung cancer surgery
    • Gastric cancer surgery
    • Sarcoma surgery
    • Melanoma surgery
    • Lymphadenectomy
