    Special Issue on Transportation Geography


    The research objects of transportation geography are: the role of transportation in the regional combination of productivity, the economic and geographical basis of passenger and freight transport and the formation of passenger and freight flows, and the regional structure and types of transportation network and hub. Regional transportation geography can analyze transportation network and passenger and cargo flow from all over the world or according to economic region, so as to reveal the inherent law of spatial connection and interregional material connection of economic structure in the region.


    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring transportation geography. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Transportation network
    • Regional transportation geography
    • Urban transportation geography
    • Natural environment and transportation construction
    • Productivity distribution and transportation
    • Transportation regionalization
    • Regional transportation structure
    • Ports and harbours
    • Traffic route selection and planning

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
