    Special Issue on Transportation Design and Planning


    Transport is central to our way of life. It is a vital aspect of local, national and global economic and business activity and a growing field of professional employment. Reasonable traffic network layout is the basic, prerequisite and key condition for realizing the real optimization of comprehensive transportation system. Whether the network planning is reasonable or not directly affects the operational efficiency and efficiency of the comprehensive transportation system. Transportation design and planning is a multidisciplinary field. It involves the assessment, evaluation, design, and site selection of transportation facilities (usually streets, highways, bicycle lanes, and public transportation lines).


    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring transportation design and planning. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Traffic survey and analysis
    • Road network and traffic
    • Transportation demand forecast
    • Traffic language design
    • Traffic management design
    • Design and planning of urban road traffic
    • Transportation system construction

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


    Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Transportation Design and Planning” should be chosen during your submission.
