Special Issue on Magnetism & Magnetic Materials

All materials exhibit magnetism, but magnetic behavior depends on the electron configuration of the atoms and the temperature. The electron configuration can cause magnetic moments to cancel each other out (making the material less magnetic) or align (making it more magnetic). Increasing temperature increases random thermal motion, making it harder for electrons to align, and typically decreasing the strength of a magnet. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of magnetism & magnetic materials.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore magnetism & magnetic materials. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Diamagnetism and paramagnetism
    • Ferromagnetism and antiferromagnetism
    • Ferrimagnetism
    • Properties of magnets
    • Magnetism, electricity, and special relativity
    • Magnetic fields in a material
    • Quantum-mechanical origin of magnetism

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Magnetism & Magnetic Materials” should be selected during your submission.
