    Special Issue on Geotechnical Engineering

Geotechnical engineering is a the branch of civil engineering which use engineering geology, soil mechanics and rock mechanics to solve the engineering and technical problems of rock and soil in various projects. The main research topics include underground engineering, slope and foundation engineering, foundation and foundation engineering. With the development of high-rise buildings, urban underground space and expressway, the attention of geotechnical engineers is concentrated on the geotechnical engineering problems in construction engineering, municipal engineering and traffic engineering. Human will continue to expand new living space, develop underground space, expand to the ocean, build sea crossing bridges, undersea tunnels and artificial islands, transform deserts, build highways and high-speed railways, etc.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring geotechnical engineering. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Permafrost engineering
    • Slope and foundation pit engineering
    • Solid waste landfill engineering
    • Rock mass engineering
    • Underground construction
    • Rock fracture simulation
    • Dynamic characteristics of sand
    • Geotechnical mechanics
    • Geotechnical engineering test

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Geotechnical Engineering” should be chosen during your submission.

    According to the following timetable:
