    Special Issue on Watershed Management Research


    Watershed is the relatively independent natural system of the earth surface. It is the catchment basin composed of rivers, or hydrographic net. The watershed area is the smallest unit of social existence that affects the water-centered material cycle. Rivers not only play the role of flood control and water supply, but also have important effects on plants, animals and human activities within the boundary of the river basin. Watershed management refers to the various techniques and measures to maintain the health of the water circulation in the whole river basin. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of watershed management research.


    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring watershed management research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Watershed pollution and control
    • Water environment improvement
    • Water resources allocation
    • Watershed management model
    • Watershed boundary
    • Watershed planning
    • Riverway regulation project
    • Function of riparian zone

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


    Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Watershed Management Research” should be chosen during your submission.
