    Special Issue on Cereal Grains 



    Cereal grain science is the study of the composition, structure, and properties of cereals and the reactions or transformations they undergo. Cereals are plants such as wheat, rice, corn, barley, rye, oats, and millet, which produce grains that are the base of the world's food supply. Because of the importance of cereals as food for humans and animals, the field of cereal chemistry continues to grow as an important scientific career. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of cereal grains .


    In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore cereal grains. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:


    • The nutritional value of grains
    • The diversity of uses for cereal grains
    • Cereal-grain morphology and composition
    • Cereal processing and utilization
    • Wheat: varieties and characteristics 
    • Cereal grain planting


    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
