    Special Issue on Chronic Pain & Management

    Chronic pain is pain that lasts a long time. In medicine, the distinction between acute and chronic pain is sometimes determined by an arbitrary interval of time since onset; the two most commonly used markers being 3 months and 6 months since onset, though some theorists and researchers have placed the transition from acute to chronic pain at 12 months. Chronic pain may originate in the body, or in the brain or spinal cord. It is often difficult to treat. Various nonopioid medicines are recommended initially. Psychological treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy may be effective for improving quality of life in those with chronic pain.

    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Chronic Pain & Management. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Pathophysiology
    • Arthritis
    • Alternative treatments
    • Low back pain
    • Chronic back pain
    • Headaches
    • Fibromyalgia
    • Visceral pain
    • Neuropathic pain
    • Nociceptive pain
    • Postoperative pain control
    • Idiopathic Pain
    • Pain in depression
    • Psychological assessment and approaches

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

    Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Chronic Pain & Management” should be chosen during your submission.
