Special Issue on Research on Algae

Algae are a very large and diverse group of simple, typically autotrophic organisms, ranging from unicellular to multicellular forms, such as the giant kelps that grow to 65 meters in length. Most are photosynthetic and "simple" because they lack the many distinct cell and organ types found in land plants. The largest and most complex marine forms are called seaweeds. Algae constitute a polyphyletic group since they do not include a common ancestor, although their plastids seem to have a single origin. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Research on Algae.

In this special issue, we are going to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Research on Algae.

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue Research on Algae” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline

October 15th, 2013
