Special Issue on Groundwater Pollution

Water pollution of groundwater, from pollutants released to the ground that can work their way down into groundwater and can create a contaminant plume within an aquifer. Movement of water and dispersion within the aquifer spreads the pollutant over a wider area, and its advancing boundary often called a plume edge, which can then intersect with groundwater wells or daylight into surface water such as seeps and springs, making the water supplies unsafe for humans and wildlife. The interaction of groundwater contamination with surface waters is analyzed by use of hydrology transport models. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Groundwater Pollution.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Groundwater Pollution. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

•        Groundwater pollution early warning system
•        Groundwater pollution prevention plan
•        Control and remediation of groundwater pollution
•        Landfill site pollution to groundwater
•        Agricultural chemicals pollution to groundwater
•        Industrial chemicals pollution to groundwater
•        Health risk assessment of groundwater pollution
•        Aquifer degradation and resource depletion
•        Simulation study of the groundwater pollution

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.
