Special Issue on Developmental Psychology


Developmental psychology is the scientific study of how and why human beings change over the course of their life. Originally concerned with infants and children, the field has expanded to include adolescence, adult development, aging, and the entire lifespan. Developmental psychologists aim to explain how thinking, feeling, and behaviors change throughout life. This field examines change across three major dimensions: physical development, cognitive development, and socioemotional development. Within these three dimensions are a broad range of topics including motor skills, executive functions, moral understanding, language acquisition, social change, personality, emotional development, self-concept, and identity formation.


In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Developmental Psychology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Cognitive development
  • Socioemotional and psychosocial development
  • Personality development and language acquisition
  • Memory development
  • Behaviors change
  • Psychology & child Development
  • Constructivism and social interactions
  • Infant cognition and parenting Style
  • Evolutionary developmental psychology
  • Attachment theory and intimate relationships
  • Family psychology
  • Executive function in children
  • Aging psychology

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Developmental Psychology should be chosen during your submission.
