Special Issue on Statistical Sampling
In statistics, sampling is the
selection of a subset (a statistical sample) of individuals from within a
statistical population to estimate characteristics of the whole population. Two
advantages of sampling are that the cost is lower and data collection is faster
than measuring the entire population.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on statistical sampling. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Survey sampling
-
Sampling methods
-
Probability sampling
-
Random sampling
-
Monte carlo sampling
-
Bayesian estimation and sampling
-
Sampling from databases
-
Sampling and estimation
-
Data collection
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Statistical Sampling”
should be chosen during your submission.
