    Special Issue on Volcanic Geology

Volcanic geology is a branch of geology that studies the geological body formed by the action of volcanism in the history of the earth. The products of volcanic eruption, including the volcanic cone, the volcanic passage, the submersible rock mass near the volcano and the related orebodies, are collectively known as the volcanic apparatus. To study the characteristics of the volcano and to control the tectonic system of volcanic eruption, we can further understand the relationship between the law of volcanic activity and the plate tectonics. Although volcanoes often bring great disasters to human beings, they are still of great value in tourism economy, geothermal energy and volcanic materials.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring volcanic geology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Volcanic strata
    • Volcanic geological structure
    • Volcanic eruption
    • Volcanoes and minerals
    • Volcano monitoring
    • The cause and mechanism of volcanic activity

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Volcanic Geology” should be chosen during your submission.

    According to the following timetable:

    Submission Deadline

    May 24th, 2018

    Publication Date
