    Special Issue on Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals


    Functional foods and nutraceuticals are products from food sources that provide additional health benefits beyond the basic nutritional value of food. The appearance of functional food is similar to that of conventional food. The former is consumed as part of a normal diet. However, contrary to traditional foods, functional foods have shown physiological benefits and can reduce the risk of chronic disease beyond basic nutritional functions, including the maintenance of intestinal health.


    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring functional foods and nutraceuticals. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Functional foods
    • Functional beverage
    • Nutraceuticals
    • Health food
    • Probiotics and prebiotics
    • Food supplements

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

     

    Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals” should be chosen during your submission.
