Special Issue on Metabolomics
Metabolomics is the scientific study of chemical processes involving metabolites.
Specifically, metabolomics is the systematic study of the unique chemical
fingerprints that specific cellular processes leave behind, the study of their
small-molecule metabolite profiles. The metabolome represents the collection of
all metabolites in a biological cell, tissue, organ or organism, which are the
end products of cellular processes. Metabolic profiling can give an instantaneous
snapshot of the physiology of the cell.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on
exploring metabolomics. Potential
topics include, but are not limited to:
-
NMR metabolomics
-
Mass spectrometry metabolomics
-
Metabolic profiling
-
Human metabolome
-
Comparative metabolomics
-
Functional metabolomics
-
Nutrimetabolomics
-
Environmental metabolomics
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Metabolomics”
should be chosen during your submission.
