    Special Issue on Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much bone, makes too little bone, or both. Viewed under a microscope, healthy bone looks like a honeycomb. When osteoporosis occurs, the holes and spaces in the honeycomb are much larger than in healthy bone. Osteoporotic bones have lost density or mass and contain abnormal tissue structure. As bones become less dense, they weaken and are more likely to break.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring osteoporosis. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Signs and symptoms
    • Risk factors
    • Pathogenesis
    • Diagnosis
    • Prevention
    • Management
    • Prognosis
    • Epidemiology

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Osteoporosis” should be selected during your submission.
