Special Issue on Thrombosis and Antithrombotic Drugs

The most important components of a thrombus are fibrin and platelets. Fibrin is a protein that forms a mesh that traps red blood cells, while platelets, a type of blood cell, form clumps that add to the mass of the thrombus. Both fibrin and platelets stabilize the thrombus and prevent it from falling apart. Antithrombotic drugs are prescribed extensively in medical practice, and an impressive number of formulations have been introduced in recent years.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring thrombosis and antithrombotic drugs. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Thrombus formation
    • Antiplatelet drugs
    • Anticoagulants
    • Antithrombotic therapy
    • Drug interactions
    • Drug side effects
    • New antithrombotic drugs

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Thrombosis and Antithrombotic Drugs” should be selected during your submission.
