Special Issue on Agriculture and Climate Change: Impacts, Mitigations and Adaptations

Climate change has complex effects on the bio-physical processes that underpin agricultural systems, with both negative and positive consequences in different regions. Rising atmospheric CO2 concentration, higher temperatures, changes in precipitation patterns and in frequency of extreme events both affect the natural environment as well as the quantity, quality and stability of food production. Climatic variations impact on water resources, soils, pests and diseases, leading to significant changes in agriculture and livestock production. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of agriculture and climate change: impacts, mitigations and adaptations. 

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring agriculture and climate change: impacts, mitigations and adaptations. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Changes in agricultural productivity
• Agricultural biodiversity adaptations to climate changes
• Climate Impacts on land resources
• Climate Impacts on water resources
• Policies of agriculture adaption climate change,
• Improving irrigation efficiency, and afforestation and agro-forestry

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Agriculture and Climate Change: Impacts, Mitigations and Adaptations” should be chosen during your submission.
