    Special Issue on Child Development

Child development entails the biological, psychological and emotional changes that occur in human beings between birth and the end of adolescence, as the individual progresses from dependency to increasing autonomy. It is a continuous process with a predictable sequence, yet having a unique course for every child. Developmental change may occur as a result of genetically-controlled processes or environmental factors and learning. The optimal development of children is considered vital to society and so it is important to understand the social, cognitive, emotional, and educational development of children.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on child development. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Brain development and intelligence
    • Parenting and child development

    • Childhood recognition and emotion
    • Depression and anxiety influence in growth

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
