    Special Issue on Measles

    Measles is a highly contagious respiratory infection spread by coughs and sneeze of infected patients. Measles epidemics usually occur in densely inhabited districts without vaccination and can be pandemic every 2-3 years. It affects around 20 million people all over the world annually, especially in the developing countries. Failure to control measles was often due to the failure to carry out planned strategies adequately. The priority of measles prevention is to assist the low-income countries, to implement vaccination programme more effectively.

    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring measles. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Epidemiology of measles
    • Advances in global measles control and elimination
    • Pathogenesis of measles virus infection
    • Measles eradication versus measles control
    • Recent progress in measles virus research
    • Current status of measles vaccine

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


    Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Measles” should be chosen during your submission.
