Special Issue on Biophotonics

Biophotonics exists at the intersection of the disciplines of life sciences and physical sciences. It embraces all light-based technologies and has become an essential tool in life sciences and medicine. Furthermore, it reaches into the fields of food safety inspection, water quality analysis, environmental monitoring, pharmaceutical analysis and agricultural science. Biophotonics industry has developed rapidly accounting for more than 50 billion dollars per year of global market share due to continuous market demand.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring biophotonics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Biophotonics optical and life science
• Biophotonics techniques for structural and functional imaging
• Novel biophotonics techniques and applications
• Biophotonics & medical technology
• Biophoton detection and low-intensity light therapy
• Photobiomodulation and photodynamic therapy
