    Special Issue on Paleontology

Paleontology is a basic discipline in which the fossil and ancient traces of life are used for biological studies, to explore the characteristics of ancient life, to explore the evolution history of the earth and environmental change. There are five main branches: Paleontology, paleontology, paleontology, paleontology and biogeography. The study of the ancient ecosystem has entered from the induction and description to the regular stages of the development of the ancient colony and the change of the ancient ecosystem. The study of species formation and extinction is the hottest topic in recent years. The study of the laws of ecological balance and destruction in geological history is of great help to solve the problem of how to protect the ecological balance in modern environment.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring paleontology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • The formation and evolution of terrestrial ecosystems
    • Evolution of paleozoic marine organisms
    • Evolution of early life
    • Ancient pathology
    • Biological mineralogy
    • Biostratigraphy
    • Paleobiochemistry
    • Paleobiogeography

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Paleontology” should be chosen during your submission.

    According to the following timetable:
