Special Issue on Anti-corrosion Materials,Material Corrosion and Protection
Corrosion is the chemical or electrochemical reaction between a material and its environments that produces a deterioration of the material and its properties. Anti-corrosion research covers multidisciplinary aspects and addressing the material's performance challenges in a wide range of industrial sectors, including oil & gas, aerospace and nuclear. Current projects range from development of new experimental approaches for material characterization, through mechanistic understanding of corrosion and inhibition processes, to advancement of sustainable protective surface treatments and functional coatings. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of anti-corrosion materials, material corrosion and protection.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring anti-corrosion materials, material corrosion and protection. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Corrosion prevention techniques
-
Microbial corrosion
-
Barrier protection
-
Electrochemical corrosion
-
Metal selection and surface conditions
-
Corrosion in passivated materials
-
Cathodic protection
-
High-temperature corrosion
-
Permanent corrosion protection
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Anti-corrosion Materials, Material Corrosion and Protection” should be selected during your submission.
