Special Issue on Variational Method and Its Application

Variational method is a branch of mathematics that deals with functional extreme values. It is not only closely related to many branches of mathematics, but also provides an important principle for physics and has a very wide range of applications. The emergence of the variational method has promoted the further development of theoretical physics, and played a very important role in quantum mechanics and the corresponding minimum action principle. Therefore, the research on variational method is of great theoretical and practical significance.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring variational method and its application. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Variational method and quantum mechanics
• Theory of optimal control
• Principle of variational method
• Variational method and finite element
• Variational method and hysteresis effect
• The application of variational method in Economics

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
