Special Issue on Arthroplasty

Arthroplasty is an orthopedic surgery performed to relieve pain and restore the integrity and function of a joint by realigning or reconstructing the joint. There are two types of arthroplastic surgery: joint resection and interpositional reconstruction. Joint resection involves removing a portion of the bone from a stiffened joint, creating a gap between the bone and the socket to improve the range of motion. Interpositional reconstruction is procedure to reshape the joint and add a prosthetic disk between the two bones forming the joint.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Arthroplasty. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Cup arthroplasty
  • Finger arthroplasty
  • Hip arthroplasty
  • Interpositional arthroplasty
  • Joint replacement surgery
  • Knee arthroplasty
  • Ligament reconstruction
  • Mold arthroplasty
  • Osteotomy
  • Resection arthroplasty
  • Resurfacing arthroplasty
  • Shoulder arthroplasty
  • Silicone replacement arthroplasty

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
