Special Issue on Carbohydrate
This special issue on Carbohydrate is aimed at bringing together recent developments in the fields of carbohydrate, in particular, the important role carbohydrate play in the biological metabolism of living creature. The carbohydrates are divided into four chemical groupings: monosaccharides, disaccharides, oligosaccharides, and polysaccharides. Carbohydrates perform numerous roles in living organisms, polysaccharides serve for the storage of energy and as structural components, the 5-carbon monosaccharide ribose is an important component of coenzymes and the backbone of the genetic molecule known as RNA, the related deoxyribose is a component of DNA. Carbohydrates and their derivatives include many other important bimolecular that play key roles in the immune system, fertilization, preventing pathogenesis, blood clotting, and development. As the most important nutrition of living organisms and the basic composition of living organisms itself, carbohydrate is of great attractions to researchers.
In this special issue, we are going to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Carbohydrates. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Bioactive carbohydrate synthesis
-
Specific carbohydrates in living organisms and their function
-
Carbohydrates metabolism in living organisms
-
Carbohydrate formed bimolecular
-
Bioactive carbohydrate molecular structure
-
Bioactive carbohydrate nutrition
-
Carbohydrate molecular simulation
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors' Guidelines carefully before submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Paper Submission System.
