Special Issue on Sludge Treatment and Disposal
Sludge treatment and disposal which origin from wastewater treatment plants is a highly complex and costly activity. If poorly accomplished, the sludge may jeopardise the environmental and sanitary advantages expected in the treatment systems. For some countries an improvement in the number, size and efficiency of the treatment plants would have significant positive impacts on the quality and health of aquatic environments.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring sludge treatment and disposal. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Sludge management and legislation
-
Sludge characteristics and production
-
Main contaminants in sludge
-
Sludge transportation and storage
-
Sludge transformation and disposal methods
-
Environmental impact assessment
-
Applications and reuse
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Sludge Treatment and Disposal” should be selected during your submission.
