Special Issue on Food Allergy

 

A food allergy is an abnormal immune response to food. The signs and symptoms may range from mild to severe. They may include itchiness, swelling of the tongue, vomiting, diarrhea, hives, trouble breathing, or low blood pressure. This typically occurs within minutes to several hours of exposure. When the symptoms are severe, it is known as anaphylaxis.

 

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring food allergy. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Food allergy and food intolerance
  • IgE mediated food allergies
  • Non-IgE mediated food allergies
  • Oral allergy syndrome
  • Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE)
  • Food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES)
  • Allergic proctocolitis
  • Food allergy and cross-reactivity
  • Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention
  • Epidemiology

 

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

 

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Food Allergy” should be selected during your submission.
