Special Issue on Consciousness and Mental Process

Perhaps no aspect of mind is more familiar or more puzzling than consciousness and our conscious experience of self and world. The problem of consciousness is arguably the central issue in current theorizing about the mind. Despite the lack of any agreed upon theory of consciousness, there is a widespread, if less than universal, consensus that an adequate account of mind requires a clear understanding of it and its place in nature. We need to understand both what consciousness is and how it relates to other, nonconscious, aspects of reality. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of consciousness and mental process.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore consciousness and mental process. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Concepts of consciousness
• Creature consciousness
• Problems of consciousness
• Theories of consciousness
• Conscious processes 
• Consciousness and psychology 

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Consciousness and Mental Process” should be selected during your submission.
