Special Issue on Pathogen Research

In biology, a pathogen in the oldest and broadest sense is anything that can produce disease, a term which came into use in the 1880s. Typically the term is used to describe an infectious agent such as a virus, bacterium, prion, fungus, viroid, or parasite that causes disease in its host. The host may be a human, an animal, a plant, a fungus, or even another micro-organism.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring pathogen. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Pathogenicity
  • Pathogenic bacteria
  • Viral disease
  • Pathogenic fungi
  • Prion
  • Other parasites
  • Treatment and health care

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Pathogen Research” should be selected during your submission.
