Special Issue on Deviant Behavior

Deviant behavior is the behavior that does not adhere to widely-accepted social or cultural norms. There are many different theories on what causes a person to perform deviant behavior. The deviance can be viewed from psychological, biological, and sociological perspectives.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Deviant Behavior. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Strain theory
  • Symbolic interaction
  • Neutralization theory
  • Labeling theory
  • Conflict theory
  • Biological theories of deviance
  • Social control theory

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Deviant Behavior” should be selected during your submission.
