Advances in Pollen Research
Call
for Papers
The
study of Pollen is called palynology and is highly useful in paleoecology,
archeology, and forensics. Palynology is an interdisciplinary science and is a branch
of earth science and biological science, particularly plant science.
Stratigraphical palynology is a branch of micropalaeontology and paleobotany
which studies fossil palynomorphs from the Precambrian to the Holocene. It is
the science that studies contemporary and fossil palynomorphs, including
pollen, spores, orbicules, dinocysts, acritarchs, chitinozoans and
scolecodonts, together with particulate organic matter (POM) and kerogen found
in sedimentary rocks and sediments. Palynology does not include diatoms,
foraminiferans or other organisms with siliceous or calcareous exoskeletons.
In
this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to
submit original research and review articles on exploring Pollen Research.
Authors should read over the journal’s Author Guidelines carefully before
submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their
complete manuscript through the journal Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the“Special Issue’’ under your
manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special
Issue- Pollen
Research” should be
chosen during your submission.
