Special Issue on Water Potentials Related to Plant Growth and Development

All living things, including plants, require a continuous input of free energy to maintain and repair their highly organised structures, as well as to grow and reproduce. Water potential is the measure of potential energy in water and drives the movement of water through plants. Water potential has proved especially useful in understanding water movement within plants, animals, and soil.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring water potentials related to plant growth and development. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Soil plant atmosphere continuum
  • Measurement techniques
  • Water retention curve
  • Water potential
  • Absorption by roots
  • Transport through the xylem
  • Transpiration
  • Plant water status
  • Influence of extreme water supply

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Water Potentials Related to Plant Growth and Development” should be selected during your submission.
