Special Issue on Traumatic Brain Injury

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a form of acquired brain injury caused by external force such as a violent blow or jolt to the brain. Symptoms range from physical effects (such as blurred vision, headaches and dizziness) to cognitive, emotional and behavioral effects (such as memory loss and anger issues). The injury can result in temporary dysfunction of brain cells, bruising, torn tissues, bleeding, long-term complications or even death.
