Special Issue on New Energy Materials

In the 21st century, aggravating energy and environmental problems such as pollution, fossil fuel depletion and global warming are ringing the alarm bell to human society. Therefore, clean and renewable energy materials as well as their devices are urgently demanded, which are the key and foundation to realize the transformation and utilization of new energy. The developments of energy storage and conversion techniques strongly depend on the achievements of material science.

Materials Sciences and Applications is pleased to present a Special Issue featuring the research of New Energy Materials. The special Issue focuses on the theory, design, synthesis, structure properties, performance analysis and testing of materials for new energy applications. 

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Nickel-Metal hydride battery materials
• Lithium ion battery materials
• Supercapacitor (such as electrical double-layer capacitor, pesudocapacitor and hybrid capacitor) materials
• Fuel cell materials
• Solar cell materials
• Biomass materials
• Hydrogen storage materials
• Materials for wind power generation equipments
• Materials for geothermal power generation equipments
• Superconducting line materials
• Critical materials for nuclear energy
• Other energy saving and storage materials

Authors should read over the journal’s Author’s Guidelines carefully before submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue — New Energy Materials” should be chosen during your submission.
