Special Issue on DNA Methylation

DNA Methylation is a process by which methyl groups are added to DNA. Methylation modifies the function of the DNA, typically acting to suppress gene transcription. DNA methylation is essential for normal development and is associated with a number of key processes including genomic imprinting, X-chromosome inactivation, suppression of repetitive elements, and carcinogenesis.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring DNA methylation. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Methylation and gene expression
• The role of methylation
• DNA methylation and histones
• DNA methyltransferases
• Differentially methylated regions (DMRs)
• Molecular cloning
• DNA methylation in plants, fungi, Bacteria, etc.
• DNA methylation detection
• DNA methylation and disease

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.
