Special Issue on Lipid Metabolism
The major aspects of Lipid Metabolism are involved with fatty acid oxidation to produce energy or the synthesis of lipids which is called lipogenesis. Lipid metabolism is closely connected to the metabolism of carbohydrates which may be converted to fats.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring lipid metabolism. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Types of lipids
-
Fatty acid oxidation
-
Fatty acid synthesis
-
Metabolism of glycerophospholipids
-
Metabolism of sphingolipids
-
Metabolism of cholesterol
-
Pulmonary surfactant
-
Digestion, absorption, and transport of lipids
-
Lipids as metabolic fuels
-
Dyslipidemia and atherosclerotic heart disease
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Lipid Metabolism” should be selected during your submission.
