Special Issue on Peripheral Arterial Disease

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), also known as peripheral vascular disease, is a common circulatory problem which occurs when there's a blockage in the arteries to the limbs. PAD most commonly affects the legs and can cause discomfort or pain when walking. The risk of developing PAD increases as you get older. Smoking or having diabetes increases the chances of developing the disease sooner.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Peripheral Arterial Disease. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Intermittent claudication
    • Critical limb ischemia
    • Chronic limb ischemia
    • Complications of PAD
    • Atherosclerosis and PAD
    • Risk factors
    • Tests and diagnosis
    • Treatments and drugs
    • Lifestyle and home remedies
