Special Issue on Law and Economics

Law and economics, also known as the economic analysis of law, is the application of economic theory to the analysis of law. The law and economics movement offers a general theory of law as well as conceptual tools for the clarification and improvement of its practices. The law is viewed as a social tool to promote economic efficiency. The Economic concepts are used to explain the effects of laws and guide legal practice. Due to the overlap between legal and political systems, some issues in law and economics are also raised in political related disciplines.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Law and Economics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Positive law and economics
  • Rational choice theory
  • Pareto efficiency
  • Law and finance
  • Economics and normative jurisprudence
  • Behavioral economics and law
  • Game theory
  • Economic efficiency and judicial system

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Law and Economics” should be selected during your submission.
