Special Issue on Construction Materials
By virtue of its size, construction is one of
the largest users of energy, material resources, and water, and it is a
formidable polluter. Until recently, the development of building materials has
focused on producing cheaper and more durable construction materials. The major
construction materials are crushed rock, gravel, sand, cement, cement concrete,
asphalt concrete, timer products, clay brick, concrete block, steel, metals,
plastics, paints, glues, and numerous chemical products. The goal of this Special
Issue is to provide a platform for scientists worldwide to promote, share, and
discuss various new issues and developments in the area of construction materials.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring construction
materials. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Sustainability of construction materials
-
Biodeterioration of construction materials
-
Concrete technology
-
Properties, modeling and testing of construction materials
-
Nanotechnology in construction materials
-
Construction materials modification
-
Types of construction materials
-
Repair materials and strengthening methods
Authors
should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please
kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The
research field “Special Issue - Construction Materials” should be selected
during your submission.
