Special Issue on Creative Excellence in Education
Education
gives a practical dimension to creativity. Access to education should provide
an opportunity for individuals to transform their thinking through new conversations
with others and exposure to the unfamiliar. The need for excellence in
education is meant to help prepare the child better for life’s challenges and
to extend the processes by which adults can make sense of their world and
experiences and so allow development of personal skills and potential to the
maximum. A challenge for organizations is to encourage development of sound
core skills across the group while recognizing the distinctions individuals
bring and the role of diversity and new thinking in creating excellence.
This
issue provides an opportunity to extend the discussion around how creativity
can help to promote excellence in educational development, and what elements contribute
to specific forms of excellence in educational innovation (e.g. personal
development of the teacher to produce individual excellence, their support for
colleagues, as well as within the delivery of their role and how this creates
impact and engagement beyond the immediate sphere of influence).
For this special issue, we invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles exploring the various elements of creative excellence in education. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Aiming for excellence: the need for creativity in education
-
Education and innovation: different aspects of creativity
-
Vision and leadership: implications for educational organizations
-
Case studies: how creativity and excellence are achieved
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully
before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of
their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Creative Excellence in Education”
should be selected during your submission.
