Special Issue on Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is a progressive bone
disease that is characterized by a decrease in bone mass and density which can
lead to an increased risk of fracture. In osteoporosis, the bone mineral
density (BMD) is reduced, and the amount and variety of proteins in bone are
altered. According to figures, osteoporosis affects 55% of Americans aged 50 and
approximately 80% of them are women. As large numbers of people suffer from Osteoporosis and effective treatment is still not available, close attention and further
research seem to be necessary and significant.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring osteoporosis. Potential topics include,
but are not limited to:
-
Signs and symptoms
-
Pathogenesis
-
Diagnosis and Prognosis
-
Management (osteopathy, etc.)
-
Epidemiology
-
Aging-associated diseases
-
Endocrine diseases
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
