Special Issue on Infrared Technology and Applications

Infrared Light is an electromagnetic radiation with longer wavelengths than those of visible light, extending from the nominal red edge of the visible spectrum at 0.74 micrometres to 0.3 mm. Infrared light is used in industrial, scientific, and medical applications. Night-vision devices using infrared illumination allow people or animals to be observed without the observer being detected. In astronomy, imaging at infrared wavelengths allows observation of objects obscured by interstellar dust. Infrared imaging cameras are used to detect heat loss in insulated systems, to observe changing blood flow in the skin, and to detect overheating of electrical apparatus. As one of most innovative technology in science, infrared technology and applications is of great attractions to researchers.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring infrared technology and applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Infrared imaging
• Infrared absorption
• Infrared astronomy
• Infrared illumination
• Infrared thermography
• Other infrared technology and applications

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
