Special Issue on Natural Islands
Natural Islands are any piece of sub-continental land that is surrounded by water. A grouping of geographically or geologically related islands is called an archipelago. Islands are repositories of genetic information and rich natural resources, the biodiversity has an indispensable value to humankind the world over. Island ecosystems contribute to the maintenance of ecosystem functions: they provide defense against natural disasters, support nutrient cycling, and soil and sand formation; and they contribute to the regulation of climate and diseases.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring natural islands. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Natural Islands” should be chosen during your submission.
