Special Issue on Sensory Systems

Sensory Systems are commonly consisted of vision, auditory, somatic sensation, gustatory, olfaction and vestibular. A sensory system is a part of the nervous system responsible for processing sensory information. Sensory systems consist of sensory receptors, neural pathways, and parts of the brain involved in sensory perception. Sensory receptors recognize stimuli from both internal and external environments, neural pathways conduct information from the stimuli to the brain, and the brain processes the information.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring sensory systems. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Human sensory system
  • Sensory stimulus
  • Senses and receptors
  • Sensory cortex
  • Sensory modality
  • Sensory Diseases

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Sensory Systems” should be chosen during your submission.
