    Special Issue on Thrombosis

Thrombosis is the formation of a blood clot (thrombus) inside a blood vessel, obstructing the flow of blood through the circulatory system. When a thrombus is significantly large enough to reduce the blood flow to a tissue, hypoxia can occur and metabolic products such as lactic acid can accumulate. A larger thrombus causing a much greater obstruction to the blood flow may result in anoxia, the complete deprivation of oxygen and infarction, tissue death. There are also a number of other conditions that can arise according to the location of the thrombus and the organs affected.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring thrombosis. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Causes of thrombosis
    • Embolus and embolization
    • Venous thrombosis
    • Arterial thrombosis
    • Prevention of thrombosis
    • Treatment of thrombosis

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Thrombosis” should be chosen during your submission.

    According to the following timetable:

    Submission Deadline
